Rates and Yields Share Certificate, Individual Retirement, Golden, Silver and Platinum Money Market Accounts This rate schedule is incorporated as a part of your account agreement, as a credit union member, with Spectrum Federal Credit Union. For purposes of this disclosure, the dividend rate and annual percentage yield stated for the term share accounts were offered within the most recent seven calendar days and were accurate as of the effective date stated. All other dividend rates and APYs were accurate as of the last dividend declaration date. NOTE: All deposit accounts are insured in a cumulative balance up to $100,000. IRAs are insured separately to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government agency. Deposit accounts are insured for an additional $250,000 by ASI (American Share Insurance). IRAs are also insured separately for an additional $250,000. Substantial interest penalties apply for early withdrawal. Rates subject to change without notice. Fees may reduce earnings. Share Certificates and IRAs are fixed rate accounts. Silver, Platinum and Golden Money Market Accounts are variable rate accounts. Golden Money Market Accounts with balances below $2,500 do not earn dividends. Silver and Platinum Accounts must maintain their minimum daily balances in order to earn dividends. New Product Descriptions For members who want to invest higher deposit amounts to maximize their dividend earnings, yet maintain liquidity, a Silver Money Market Account or Platinum Money Market Account may be opened. The Silver Money Market Account has a minimum of $10,000 to open and earn dividends. The Platinum Money Market Account has a minimum of $50,000 to open and earn dividends. Spectrum's 'Certificate Plus' is a 24-month term certificate which pays 25 basis points less than the regular 24 month share certificate but the difference is that you may make add-on deposits to that certificate anytime during the term. PLUS, this certificate includes the 'bump-up' option (also known as the 'Second Chance' option). This means that anytime during the course of the term, members have a chance to change the rate to its most current rate, should certificate rates go up.
