Say 'hello' to PAL - your Personal Account Link via your personal computer! At your convenience, anytime, you are able to access your Spectrum Federal Credit Union accounts and manage them, safely and securely.
Simply, click on the green 'PAL' button above.
Existing PAL users can sign on directly from Spectrum's main page using the 'OnLine Banking Login' box.
New PAL Users:
In order to access PAL, you will need a personal identification number (PIN). If you don't have a (PIN) then call Member Services at 800-782-8782.
At the click of a mouse, you will be able to perform a variety of financial transactions including viewing or printing your monthly statement, transferring money between your accounts and ordering checks.
Once you are in PAL, you can follow the easy step-by-step on-screen directions to conduct your transactions.

NOTE: PAL - Personal Account Link allows you to manage your Spectrum accounts from your personal computer. Bechtel employees can access PAL through Bechtel's Intranet. From the BecWeb main page, scroll down and click on 'People'. Then click on 'Spectrum Federal Credit Union' for an easy link to PAL (as well as a link to our internet web site!)

As you may know, with PAL - Personal Account Link via your PC, you can make a personal account transfer, balance your checking account (even download your account history into software like Quicken and MS Money) - and now, pay your bills!
All you need to do is access PAL's main page and click on Pay Bills. You will see the "Welcome" screen and select "Begin Bill Payment". Then, follow instructions.

PAL- Personal Account Link : Bill Payer Set-Up Instructions
PAL- Personal Account Link lets you pay bills from your home PC! Schedule recurring bills to be paid automatically (mortgage, car, insurance, etc.). Change the amount you pay or enter new payments - anytime you like. It's easy! And you can forget about licking stamps, addressing envelopes, or writing checks.
Step 1: Register for Bill Payment

STEP 1: Register for Bill Payment
To subscribe to bill payment as a new service, you must first register on the system, and read and agree to the bill payment disclosure. You must complete this process only when you are first subscribing or when you are resuming bill payment service after discontinuing.
- Select Pay Bills from PAL's main menu. You will see the Welcome To Bill Payment screen.
- Select Begin Bill Payment. The Bill Payment Disclosure screen will appear.
- From the drop-down list in the Default Account field, your checking account type will appear. Your bills will be paid from this account (Not available for Money Market Accounts.). After reading the disclosure and agreeing to the terms, select Register for Bill Payment.
STEP 2: Select the Payee
You can add a merchant/payee to your list of bill payment merchants by selecting from a list of existing merchants/payees using the Search button. You can set up the merchant at this time, even if you are not yet ready to set up bill payment transactions.
- To add a public merchant/payee to your list for bill payment, select Add A Payee from the bill payment menu. The Add Payee screen will appear.
- Using the Search function is optional. To skip, leave Search box blank. Instead, enter Payee information to complete Add Payee screen. (To use: In the Search box at the top, enter a search criterion such as the merchant's name, or the first few letters of a merchant's name. Select Search for a listing of existing merchants. )
- Verify merchant information to ensure it is correct. Select Add A Payee. The Confirm Add Merchant screen will appear. (NOTE: If your merchant/payee name is not on the list, select Add A Payee. The Add Payee screen will appear. Screen fields marked in blue will need to be completed to proceed. Proceed to Step 3 Set Up Payment.)
NOTE: It takes 10 working days for initial set up verification of payee before your first bill payment can occur.
- To complete the selection of a merchant/payee, information in the following fields must be entered and verified: Payee Short Name (a short name which describes the merchant; like PacBell for Pacific Bell), Ref/Acct #, Merchant Telephone, Name On Account (enter the name from the bill payment account if different from your own), Budget Category (use the arrow key to select a category or enter your own).
STEP 3: Set Up Payment
- Select one from the following options to complete adding a merchant/payee from the Add Payee screen. You may set up a: One Time Only Payment, a Manual Payment, an Automatic Payment. You may choose Finish Payee Setup Without Payment Info to set-up the payee when payment information is not available. You may update this choice later.
- After choosing your payment option, a screen will appear into which you will need to enter specific Payment Information(Payment Amount and Due Date). Once done, click Next.
IMPORTANT: Funds will be deducted from your account five (5) working days before the due date you specify, to allow enough time for merchant/payee to receive funds by the due date.
- A Confirm Payee screen will appear which displays the merchant/payee information. You may use the back button to correct any errors. (Once you make corrections, you need to use the options at the bottom of each screen to go back through each screen until you see the finish button.) If all is correct, click on Finish.
Additional Functions
* Click on Additional Functions from the bill payment main menu in order to Change Payment, Delete Payee, View History, Stop Bill Service, or view and send/reply to Messages sent to you from the bill payment vendor, which is Spectrum Federal Credit Union.
PAL basic service account management functions are provided at no cost.
*However, you will still be charged the normal credit union fees resulting from transactions through PAL that are normally associated with a service charge. Please refer to Spectrum's Cost Recovery Fee Schedule for a listing of Spectrum fees.
